Availability of Water

Selling your property?
If you're considering selling or buying property it's imperative that you check with Compton Water in advance to see if there is water available and what your property can be supplied with before committing to a buyer or seller. Compton Water system is under great strain, it's older and we are trying to improve it the best we can and what we can supply is limited. We can't tap every property or if we can, it could have limitations.

Vacant Meter Policy

Our new Vacant Meter policy is now in place. If you have a meter that is shut off or has been on your property for years without use, as of August 2024 billing, you will now pay the base rate or it will be permanently pulled. If you desire another meter and there is system availability, the cost will be that of a new meter set. If you don't want to pay the base rate and the meter is pulled, whatever deposit you have on file will be returned or applied to your outstanding balance if there is one. Your account will be placed on inactive status and there is no longer membership.
